Custom Fashion & Apparel Packaging

Fashion packaging should fit the finished garment fold or accessory set without unnecessary bulk. Plan the paper bag, gift box and tissue or other accessories as one retail system, with dimensions based on the packed item rather than a generic clothing size.

INDUSTRY BUYING GUIDE

Make the important decisions before decoration.

01

Sizing around folded clothing

Measure the folded shirt, knitwear or complete outfit with its tissue and any hanger or insert. Thick fabrics and multiple-item orders need different depths. Compare a limited family of sizes with one oversized format, including storage space and packing time.

02

Paper bags for boutique purchases

Give the expected packed weight and how the purchase will be carried. Review gusset, top fold, base reinforcement and handle attachment together. A larger bag is not simply a scaled copy of a small one; test carrying comfort with the filled sample.

03

Gift-ready apparel and accessories

A lid-and-base box gives direct access to a folded garment; a drawer may suit smaller accessories. Confirm the usable interior, wrapping and removal space. Where the box will be shipped, add a suitable outer transport pack rather than using a presentation finish as transit protection.

04

Consistent identity across a range

Coordinate the bag, box and accessory artwork through physical paper and color references. Dark print areas can show rubbing or fold marks differently across surfaces. Review logo size on both the largest bag and smallest accessory box before approving the full range.

PREPARE A USEFUL QUOTATION

What to send with your inquiry.

A clear component list makes proposals easier to compare. Request sample scope, setup costs, protective packing and delivery terms in writing.

  1. Folded garment dimensions or packed accessory measurements.
  2. Expected weight and single-item versus multi-item orders.
  3. Tissue, ribbon, tags and any other included components.
  4. Quantities per size, artwork versions and destination.
PRACTICAL ANSWERS

Questions before you order.

What size paper bag is suitable for clothing?

Measure the folded and wrapped purchase, including multiple-item combinations. Compare width, gusset, height and handle drop on a filled sample.

Can boxes and bags share the same logo and color?

They can share a design direction, but different papers and print methods need separate approval against a physical reference.

Can a clothing gift box serve as a shipping box?

Presentation and transport are separate requirements. Define the courier route and protective outer pack before relying on a gift box for delivery.
